The coils however are grounded to the engine which means when the ECU is outputting zero Volts on its ignition output, the coil sees a positive voltage (equal to the voltage drop described earlier) on its input.Jun 21, 2016 · The FiTech guys have no idea what might be causing this problem, I just got off the phone with them after re-programing the ECU. I've had this happened to me but I heard the fuel going through the TB when the key was out. I ended up cutting the wire that power the TB from the battery and spliced it back. Nothing changed, just the Pertronix, then the problems. Timing was not consistent, engine would quit after running for 15 minutes. Called Pertronix and got their trouble shooting guy and guide, checked everything, even a different distributor, no help. Returned unit and put in a type I with magnetic pick up. All good, no issues for two years.Jun 22, 2019 · All other ground work from my frame. I have no grounding issues with the car anywhere. Confused on how the pump is going to run. When I remove the fuses from the Fitech unit itself the pump stops so it appears the Fitech is not telling the pump to stop as it controls it. It is hooked up to my Ron Francis harness. Feb 20, 2014 · The way to fix the issue is to use a transformer on the signal generator output. From the other thread, you were trying to examine the behavior of a full wave bridge rectifier. Pick up a 1:1 audio isolation transformer, and connect the output of the function gen to one side, and your circuit to the other. Logged. The sensor ground is externally grounded to the engine, as well as to the ECU. The ECU is grounded to the engine also. We know that as the injector duty cycle increases, the average ground current of the ECU will also increase, and therefore so will the voltage drop between the ECU and the engine. Grounding electrical systems can lead to problems with interference and noise, affecting signal clarity. This article looks at these problems and how to avoid them. The concept of grounding and its related terms are not just present when we are connecting machine centers and outlets in order to minimize safety ... Don't know if any of you are having a stiff throttle problem, but that's something I'm experiencing. Did a little digging, and it seems that FITech put some stiff return springs on the shafts of the primary and secondary throttle shafts. Some have suggested just taking the spring stop off it's perch on the primary shaft and letting hang there.Jul 27, 2015 · This problem can easily be solved by moving the ground reference to the source as covered in Cordell's book also. Just look at how I drive the IPS/VAS pseudo differentially by the preamp, by referencing the 1K R18 to the preamp ground. You can easily move the reference to the source ground using the exact same technique to get rid of this ... Possible internal engine problems. The fix: Check compression to determine engine condition. EGR valve may be stuck open. The fix: Replace EGR valve. Drive axles may be loose or worn. The fix: Check and replace CV/universal joints as required. The fuel injectors may be dirty. The fix: Clean or replace fuel injectors.Apr 20, 2020 · The first category is grounding for equipment and personal safety. This category includes all residential and industrial machinery connections and follows very specific regulations on wire sizes, locations, colors, and resistances. The second category is grounding for the purpose of signal conditioning. Grounding can help reduce problems in low ... National Electric Code (nce) provides minimum requirements for wiring. 80% of power quality issues are wiring and grounding issues with in the facility. Only one neutral to ground connection at service entrance. Switch mode power supplies and fluorescent with electronic ballasts introduce third harmonic. 2) Turn ON the ignition, but do NOT start the engine. Wait at least 30 seconds. 3) With the ignition still on, disconnect the IAC electrical connector. 4) Remove grounding of the diagnostic (ALDL) connector and start the engine. Allow the engine to fully warm up and go into closed loop.XGSLab™ Grounding Solution. XGSLab is one of the most powerful software for electromagnetic simulation for power, grounding and lightning protection systems and the only software on the market that takes into account International (IEC/TS 60479-1:2005), European (EN 50522:2010) and American (IEEE Std 80-2000 and IEEE Std 80-2013) Standards in grounding system analysis. Jun 04, 2008 · Grounding issues occur when a circuit board's contact touch the grounded case; this can be due to forgetting to use the motherboard standoffs, placing a standoff where there is no mounting hole on the motherboard, etc. FiTech. May 9, 2017 ·. Tech Tip Tuesday- Today we will discuss fuel pump PWM (pulse width modulation). The FiTech system has the ability to pulse the voltage to the fuel pump to reduce heat/ extend the life under low load situations where additional fuel is not needed. When using our fuel command center, this must be set to 40 on the handheld ...PC Mic grounding issue. I recently installed a M.2 SSD (removed an old HDD), cleaned dust from the inside and did some cable management at the back of the pc. After this, while on mumble, I got the distinct grounding issue buzz while using my headset mic plugged into the front, and using my speakers for output, as I had always done. The FiTech guys have no idea what might be causing this problem, I just got off the phone with them after re-programing the ECU The most common causes when an engine running rich are check engine light, black smoke from the exhaust, high fuel consumption, poor engine performance, and sooty spark plugs The most common causes when an engine ...Jun 16, 2015 · Bad ground can cause issues as well, but I always start with the battery and alternator because you can just run down to the local auto parts store and have them check it out for you in 5 minutes. If those test good let us know and we can start down the next steps. May 14, 2021 · May 14, 2021. #1. when a machine with a 480/400 autotransformer is turned on or off, lights fed from same panelboard as machine go off and back on. It is advised to start with a value of .35 Volts. If there is a problem picking up a signal during cranking, lower this value .05 Volts at a time until you get reliable triggering during cranking (valid engine speed), then multiply this value by 0.75. If there is a problem with noise causing false pulses, you can try increasing this value. It's an important step you can take today to keep you and your family safe for years to come. When was the last time you had your home inspect for electrical issues? To learn more about proper home grounding, or to schedule a whole-house inspection, contact David Gray Electrical Services online or call us at (904) 724-7211. In this video I go over the fuel system and wiring portion of my Fitech fuel injection install.FiTech Fuel System and WiringI have an LS1 swap into a kit car. It will crank, but it will not start. Some things of note: It does not seem to command an injector pulsewidth. VATS has been disabled, and I performed a full write. Noid lights show no injector activity. Spark tester shows no spark. The fuel pump does kick on. With the exception of the IAT, all of the engine ...It is advised to start with a value of .35 Volts. I think I know what the problem is but I want some input. First off the PWM for fuel pump is a load of crap. I’m running an in tank pump and want to use my own relay. Who would want to use their 18-20gauge aluminum stranded wire to power a 15 amp circuit. Auto Meter gave us some other tach-installation tips too: Make sure your tach is set up for your engine's cylinder count. You'll often see an internal switch for 4-, 6-, or 8-cylinders. To avoid cutting or unsheathing the wire, use a rubber grommet when passing them through a firewall or sheetmetal. Fans, headers, and other engine hazards ...With dual cooling fans, there are two methods for wiring up the relay kit. This is based on the draw from the fans, if the fans are larger and draw more than 15 amps each, it's recommended to install a second relay kit as shown below.
